Donated books to the DIG Prisons & Correctional Services, Government of Tamil Nadu for the library of the prisoners in order to enhance their knowledge and helping in their reformation process on 14th June, 2023.
On the 14th of June, 2023, Arul Arakkattalai made a significant contribution towards enhancing the knowledge and reformation process of prisoners. On behalf of the trust Dr. Raziya Parvin (Treasurer of the Trust) donated books to the DIG Prisons & Correctional Services, Government of Tamil Nadu, specifically for the library dedicated to prisoners’ enrichment. Understanding the transformative power of education and the importance of access to knowledge, Arul Arakkattalai took this noble step to empower incarcerated individuals with resources that go beyond the confines of prison walls. By providing books, the trust aimed to offer prisoners an opportunity for personal growth, self-reflection, and self-improvement.

The Trustees of Arul Arakkattalai meet at least once in every three calendar months (offline or online) for a year in order to transact business and the rules made thereunder. The meetings aimed to review the nature of the trust assets, and ensure that we are complying with any necessary changes in legislation or regulations. Most importantly, the meetings are convened in order to consider the beneficiaries’ needs, and assess how the trust might assist them, or whether it’s best to retain funds for future use. Trust Minutes which are of three categories such as Action minutes, Discussion minutes and Verbatim minutes are used to provide a record of resolutions and / or decisions that were made under a trust deed.
Therefore, for the past one year, through every activity and support, Arul Arakkattalai continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it the most, demonstrating that every person deserves a chance at redemption and a life filled with knowledge, health care and socio-economic opportunities.
